3 New Favorite Podcasts

With so many inches of snow outside, the only way I get my steps in these days is on the treadmill. To help with the boredom, I’ve added three podcasts that are new to me that are so good I had to share.

Even the Rich

This podcast is the gift that keeps on giving! In “Even the Rich,” the podcast hosts Airica Skidmore-Williams and Brooke Siffrinn examine the lives of the rich and famous by diving into news stories and biographies written on their subject. They’ve done a number of deep dives, their most recent into the life of Paris Hilton. They’ve also covered Meghan Markle, Princess Diana, Britney Spears, as well as JFK and Carolyn Bessette. This show is very well produced and the hosts are incredible storytellers. And…there isn’t a lot of swearing–which is a big deal to me because I often have a seventh grader or two in the car. This is a must-add to your podcast library for sure!

Reality Life with Kate Casey

I’ve never been shy about sharing my love (let’s be honest, my obsession) with pop culture. But when a close friend turned me on to “Reality Life with Kate Casey,” my guilt subsided a bit. As a former publicist/crisis management consultant for some high powered legal firms, podcast host Kate Casey elevates the conversation and has meaningful interviews with people close to the headlines. She’s a very level headed in a world that can be a little fuzzy. Download her…now!

Two Gomers: Runner’s Block

I’ve been listening to the Two Gomers podcast for 12 years. The hosts, Anthony Georgensen and Steven Grahmann, have been friends for more than 20 years–growing up outside of Madison, Wisconsin. When they started their podcast, they decided it was time to get in shape and running a half marathon was the way to do it (they have since admitted they would have done a 5k if they knew what that was!). With lots of accomplishments and life lessons along the way, they’re launching their 12th season with the idea of breaking through Runner’s Blocks–and I have a hunch, this will translate into lots of other things in our lives that get in the way. These are two very good people, the best of friends, who are so motivating, and I can’t wait for them to get me running again. You don’t have to go back to the beginning to love them as I do, but I bet you’ll want to!

Happy happy weekend!

xo,

My name is Ann Marie Scheidler and I'm thrilled you've decided to check out my blog. I'm a pearl-loving yogi with a thing for travel, a weakness for beautiful bags, and a passion for storytelling. In this space, I'll be sharing stories about my family, go-to recipes, my wellness journey, fashion and beauty favorites, and my love for Chicago’s North Shore. I find new inspiration wherever I go. Thanks so much for coming along for the ride!
