So we’re a few weeks into the new year and my goal to try and workout every day is going pretty strong. Yay! While I’m not seeing any real ticks downward yet in my weight loss goal (losing 10 pounds in 2020 and I know tweaking my diet will be key to getting this done), I love starting my day with a good sweat. I just feel SO GOOD!

Happy Monday, friends! Nothing spurs more conversation (and sometimes more controversy) in my house than what recipe I’m posting for the week. Even though I promised to share more healthy family recipes this year, today’s weather is calling for something more comfort-y.

I was polling my troops about other dinners they like and they said I should tell you about our parmesan chicken and Grandma’s rice casserole. It’s so easy and always a crowd favorite. It might not be the healthiest dinner in my rotation (butter and bread crumbs and cheese, oh my!) but it always puts a smile on my family’s faces. Good morning! We're almost one week into 2020 and I finally have my "20 Goals for 2020" sketched out. I've been on the fence about sharing them because I'm so in awe of people who go into a new year with no specific resolutions, just an openness to accept what is. But alas, list-making just runs too far deep in my makeup. 😜 This year, the word I've picked to focus on is joy. I'm very guilty of missing things right in front of me because I'm too worried about working on what's coming next. My daughter now catches me when I start a sentence with "I just need to get through...." It's a terrible habit and it makes time go twice as fast when I’m always thinking in the future. ❤️❤️❤️ Today on the blog are my 20 Goals for 2020. I’m pulling a recipe from the archives this Monday to get back on the routine train! 🚂 This dinner is a take on Skinnytaste’s White Turkey Chili but knowing how crazy today is going to be, I’m substituting a shredded rotisserie chicken for the ground turkey. This recipe is pretty healthy (and can be dairy free) if you’re heading into an eating reboot and works well for picky eaters if you serve over some elbow noodles. You guys! How is it already December 31? Even though I have mixed feelings about seeing the year come to a close, I look forward to December 31 all year long. Because you see in our house, it’s not only New Year’s Eve...it’s also my birthday! 🎂❤️🎂❤️🎂❤️🎂❤️🎂 This birthday marks my last one with a “four” in front of it, making me a little more introspective than usual.
