There is almost nothing I like better than setting a pretty table. For all of the recipes I post, it’s the table linens, napkins rings, and centerpieces that make me happiest.
I’m hosting Easter brunch for my crew this weekend and I’m so excited at how my table turned out. As I get older, I definitely prefer more neutral tones than I used to–Easter at my house used to look like a pastel bunny set the table himself! But I was thrilled when I found this blue floral print at Pottery Barn. It’s perfect for this weekend and I can already envision it outside on our patio table this summer.
I’m a huge fan of the layered look and really love these oval placemats I found on Amazon. It gives my table that French rustic look that I love and a little touch of casual in our dining room.
My dinnerware (plates and flatware) is old from Target that I bought in bulk years ago so that I would have enough matching pieces when I host a big group. On top of it, I placed matching napkins with these sweet porcelain bow napkin rings that I found on Etsy from a vintage collector. While I can’t link these exact napkin rings, here is something similar. It’s amazing what you can find on this website!
One last detail are these darling water glasses I found on Amazon. They have a vintage vibe and I can put them right into the dishwasher. They come in a bunch of different colors, but these clear ones give me the most flexibility for future table settings.
Then I added a few little keepsakes I’ve collected over the years–these white ceramic bunnies I bought at Michael’s or Homegoods and these little blue ramekins that I filled with Easter eggs. The white vase and silver candlesticks are on my table throughout the year (I think I bought both on One Kings Lane.) I’ve had these silver mercury votive candle holders forever and put one at every place setting with a gardenia candle in each one. (I’ve made a habit to check what I have in the closet before I buy anything new. A lot of times it’s just what I’m looking for!)
The final touch were a few tulips I picked up at the grocery store. Did you know if you put a penny at the bottom of the vase, the tulips will stand up straight?
And that’s it. A little mix of old and new and we have the perfect table setting for our Easter brunch this weekend!

Another tip for the penny in your tulips is to make sure it is a really old penny because it’s the copper that makes the tulips stand up and the newer pennies are only copper coated. <3
